Holiday Concert

(Public and Private - Last 6 months)

June 25th, 2017 - The Commodore Chorus held its annual Ice Cream Social at the Bayside Church of Christ in Virginia Beach, VA. The Church's Sweet Inspiration ensemble also performed at the Social.

February 12th - 14th, 2017 - Chapter quartets performed 30 Singing Valentines at various locations throughout the Hampton Roads area.

February 2nd, 2017 - The Commodore Chorus and The School Board quartet performed for and with high school and middle school students at the Chesapeake Public School System's "Friday Night Out With The Guys Singing" at Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake, VA. The event had been rescheduled from an earlier Friday in January to Thursday, February 2nd, as a result of an interruption of rehearsal schedules due to snow.

The Commodore Chorus is the performing chorus of the Norfolk, Virginia chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Nashville, TN which boasts more than 28,000 members throughout the world. Our Chapter was chartered 60 years ago on March 28, 1957 and is a significant part of the history and heritage of barbershop harmony in the Southern Division of the Mid-Atlantic District. Members of our chapter hail from all areas of Hampton Roads and include guys from as far north as Kilmarnock, VA, and as far south as the Outer Banks of North Carolina!

Acclaim! has been performing in the barbershop style around the Hampton Roads area since 1994.

Dave Watts, Van White, Pat Patrick, and Dick DeLuca are all members of our Norfolk Chapter.

Good Vibrations

The Good Vibrations quartet has been performing in the Hampton Roads area for more than two years.

Paul McKune, Jim Byrd, Red Mann, and Bill Byrd are all members of our Norfolk Chapter.

The School Board

The School Board quartet was formed in 2012 to perform in Tallwood High Schools production of "The Music Man."

Ross Wilkins, W.D. Bankart, Norm Barbee, and Ron Soreil are all members of our Norfolk Chapter.
